Toyota reveals new Avensis at Geneva Motor Show

The brand new Toyota Avensis was unveiled at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show – and it has been given an exciting facelift, with Toyota investing a large amount of money on an upgraded interior and revitalised chassis.

Exterior design

On the outside, the design team at Toyota has added LED lights at the front and rear, as well as a new front bumper and bonnet with a chrome bar running across the front. The overall shape of the car is increased by 4cm in total.

Interior features and functions

Air conditioning will be fitted as standard across the range to make sure journeys are as relaxed as possible, and with cruise control as well as LED daytime running lights you will be able to achieve a greater degree of relaxation during long trips.

You can always stay connected on the move in the new Avensis, with integrated Bluetooth® technology and USB fitted as standard, while at the top level spec you will be treated to full leather upholstery for supreme comfort and satellite navigation for stress-free journeys.

Powering the new Avensis model you will find BMW-sourced EU6-compliant powertrains, with the possibility of turbo charged petrol engines being added at a later date, as well as a plug-in hybrid option in the Auris and Yaris.

Fitted with the Toyota Safety Sense collision-avoidance kit as well as a host of active safety technology, the Avensis is guaranteed to give you peace of mind when motoring at all times. A Pre-Collision System uses cameras and highly advanced radar scanners to detect possible hazards and alert the driver immediately. The system will automatically hit the brakes if required, working at speeds between 6mph and 50mph.

Automatic High Beam will adjust the headlights so that they dip when oncoming traffic is approaching. As well as protecting you, the system will also help you to save money by attracting lower insurance premiums, as it reduces the likelihood of a crash.
